- Migraine and Meniere’s disease (MD) show high clinical comorbidity, shared symptoms such as vertigo and overlapping mechanisms like neurogenic inflammation suggest common pathophysiology. However, the core immunogenetic drivers underlying this comorbidity, particularly at cellular resolution, remain uncharacterized. - Source: PubMed

Hu XiaoWang YangYu Si-JiePan Chun-YaLiang Bing-YuJiang Shang-ShangChen Shan-WenHan Yan-Xun - Mozambique has a high burden of tuberculosis (TB) and in 2021, an estimated 18,000 persons with TB nationwide were not diagnosed. Estimates suggest that globally 47% of TB disease in prisons is undiagnosed. We implemented an integrated-care model health intervention to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of TB disease, provide TB preventive treatment (TPT), and identify and treat other undiagnosed health conditions in three prisons in Maputo, Mozambique. - Source: PubMed

Li XinxuanSun JingZhao JianhuiJiang FangyuanZhang MengWu HaoYuan ShuaiLi XueLu JuanMantzoros Christos S - () is one of the key regulatory transcription factors capable of regulating many critical cellular functions, such as promoting apoptosis and inhibiting cell cycle progression thereby acting as a tumor-suppressor. In hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), FOXO1 has been shown to be downregulated in liver tissues, and the lower expression has been correlated with poor prognosis. This highlights the necessity of understanding the regulatory functions of FOXO1 in more depth. Various studies have focused on the role of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), mainly microRNAs, as upstream regulators of FOXO1 in HCC and how their dysregulation affects carcinogenesis. However, the role of FOXO1 as an upstream regulator of ncRNAs, specifically long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), remains an unexplored area of research that needs to be addressed. In this study, we aimed to dissect this interplay and to identify potential FOXO1-regulated lncRNAs which could possibly play a role in the pathogenesis of HCC. - Source: PubMed
