- Despite medical advances, active tuberculosis (TB) remains difficult to diagnose, particularly in asymptomatic or paucibacillary cases lacking detectable pathogen evidence. Elevated oxidative stress is a hallmark of () infection, and the genes driving this process represent promising diagnostic biomarkers. Transcriptomic profiling captures dynamic host immune responses preceding clinical manifestations, while weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) identifies functionally coherent gene modules. Integrating WGCNA with immune infiltration analysis, this study aimed to discover oxidative stress-related hub genes as robust biomarkers to address critical gaps in active TB detection and differential diagnosis. - Source: PubMed

Shang XuetianJi XiuxiuDong JingYao SiyuZhang XinyueZhao YuehanJia HongyanHuang MailingWu YadongZhang LanyueZhu ChuanzhiZhang ZongdePan Liping - Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is a common immune-mediated kidney disease. Its pathogenesis involves dysregulated B cell activation, excessive production of galactose-deficient immunoglobulin A1 (Gd-IgA1), and formation of IgA immune complex, which collectively drive glomerular injury. Telitacicept, a fusion protein that blocks B cell activation pathways, may counteract these mechanisms, but observational data and reliable biomarkers of therapeutic response remain limited. - Source: PubMed

Liu JiaruXiang CuitianZhou QiruiDing ZhenzhuWang JingrongLi Arong - Despite achieving complete peripheral B cell deletion after over 6 months of rituximab therapy, a clinically significant minority of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) patients experience breakthrough relapses, yet the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Our study aims to explore the underlying mechanism-the contribution of the MALAT1/miR-30b-5p/BAFF axis activation in monocytes to NMOSD disease attacks and relapses resistant to rituximab therapy. - Source: PubMed
